You don't need a mountain of details. Sometimes a simple idea is enough. With a talent for light and composition. tree house by *tkaracan is inspirational! (

An interesting piece, to say the least. I enjoy how the boy's posture and face holds a sort of depression or hidden melancholy. The flowerpot is nicely placed, as the viewer's eyes are naturally drawn to it. The treehouse itself has a sort of fantasy feeling to me, and it give me the feeling that it belongs in an RPG of some sort. Perhaps it's the soft colors, but I'm getting strong "Mana series" feelings from this piece. On a related note, the windchime below is interesting. Like the flowerpot, it is placed in a way such as that the viewer's eyes are drawn to it, but it also serves as a way to add humanity to the setting, the feeling that the house is not some barren vantage point.
However, despite all this, and while the piece is a fine one, it feels far too much like something from the cover of a child's book. While it is well constructed, in a way, it feels bland, like something is missing, like there's a story behind it that I'm not allowed to learn. This is most unfortunate, but I hope to see more from you in the future.
Firstly, I would like to bring to light that this beautiful rendition is curiously ground-breaking. The technique you have used is admirably incredible. It is obvious to me that you applied yourself to the fullest with your maximum range of powers. The shape of this piece is exactly correct for the message that I expect you are trying to create, but with thought this comment is likely fruitless. Although I must say, I think that your implementation of anatomy could of been handled better as I expect that it wasn't able to equal the brilliance observable in the whole of the artwork. Finally I would like to announce that it has been a joy to write this comment for you and I feel it will allow you to enhance your already masterful piece.
I agree with Lumanaru's critique above that it looks like it could be a cover for a children's book; masterfully done I might add. However, I disagree with their statement about yearning to know more about the story being a bad thing. It's certainly fine for some pieces to tell the whole story, but I think it's equally acceptable for artwork to drawn the viewer in compelling them to want more.
A final thought: I love your use of light. The bright colors contrasted by the dark approaching night is what drew me to look in the first place. I'll certainly be browsing your other works. Wonderfully done.
