An interesting piece, to say the least. I enjoy how the boy's posture and face holds a sort of depression or hidden melancholy. The flowerpot is nicely placed, as the viewer's eyes are naturally drawn to it. The treehouse itself has a sort of fantasy feeling to me, and it give me the feeling that it belongs in an RPG of some sort. Perhaps it's the soft colors, but I'm getting strong "Mana series" feelings from this piece.
On a related note, the windchime below is interesting. Like the flowerpot, it is placed in a way such as that the viewer's eyes are drawn to it, but it also serves as a way to add humanity to the setting, the feeling that the house is not some barren vantage point.

However, despite all this, and while the piece is a fine one, it feels far too much like something from the cover of a child's book. While it is well constructed, in a way, it feels bland, like something is missing, like there's a story behind it that I'm not allowed to learn. This is most unfortunate, but I hope to see more from you in the future.
